Sidi Ali El Maki is a beach located 50 km from Tunis, near the town of Ghar El Meleh (Porto Farino). It is the northern entrance to the Gulf of Tunis. The beach was named after Sidi Ali El Maki, a saint of the region, having his zaouia there. The range combines mountains, golden sand and pure water.
The zaouia still retains its role welcoming each year the festivities of boys’ circumcision.
